You Are Loved
I found this Hinzeit pattern while I was on vacation in Las Vegas last spring (Stitcher's Paradise - most awesome stitching store ever), and felt that it spoke to some folks I know. It is supposed to be stitched on 28-count Jobelan lambswool, but I wanted a quick project for the holidays, so I opted to do it on 14-count perforated paper. I rather like the way it turned out. There are 3 small glass heart charms yet to add to it. I will have it mounted on a black mounting board and custom framed (I'll try to post a picture of the completed project).

Something Little and Something New
I finished up two small Mill Hill Bead kits before I go back to my grandson's stocking:
And I have embarked a new-to-me project, beaded book thongs:
The book thongs are easy and quick to make, so they are a good balance to the large project of the stocking. Coloring with thread...and with beads.

Home For Christmas
I started working on this Mill Hill Button & Beads kit in April when I was in my hometown helping take care of my Mom. I had forgotten to take any of my projects with me, and I found this kit at my sister's. Over the course of a month, my Mom's health plummeted and she left this earth.
So, here's "Home For Christmas" made in the loving memory of my Mom for my sister:

Now it's back to that Christmas stocking for my grandson.....

A Little Interlude
I recently spent several weeks in my home town, spending time with my mother as she was leaving this earth. It was a stressful time, but joyful in that I got to spend a lot of time with Mom before she left. To help me unwind each evening, I started on a little Mill Hill Buttons & Beads kit my sister had (thanks, Lynette!). This is "Home for Christmas."
I have a ways to go yet, but it will be done soon so I can get back to working on my grandson's stocking. ;)

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree
I needed a quick little project to do to break up the task of the stocking, so I did this little guy:
This may well wind up decorating a wrapped package next Christmas. Now it's back to the stocking project and to a long-overlooked aspen tree Mill Hill piece.

It's Gonna Take A While
This one is a special gift for a very special little guy, and it's gonna take a while. I'm shootin' for Christmas 2014 to have this done:
I have a decent start on it, but that's all...just a decent start.
