Current Work in Progress
Looks like I'm finally back into the swing of things a bit, stitching wise anyway. ;) I find that as I get older, I like using perforated paper more and more....

Coloring with Beads
I have stepped away from my cross stitch for the past several months and been working with beads instead of thread. My creations center on book thongs (re: bookmarks), suncatchers, and necklaces. You can find my work on my etsy site at ~DKBB~ Creations. Below is a sampling of my coloring with beads:

You Are Loved
I found this Hinzeit pattern while I was on vacation in Las Vegas last spring (Stitcher's Paradise - most awesome stitching store ever), and felt that it spoke to some folks I know. It is supposed to be stitched on 28-count Jobelan lambswool, but I wanted a quick project for the holidays, so I opted to do it on 14-count perforated paper. I rather like the way it turned out. There are 3 small glass heart charms yet to add to it. I will have it mounted on a black mounting board and custom framed (I'll try to post a picture of the completed project).

Something Little and Something New
I finished up two small Mill Hill Bead kits before I go back to my grandson's stocking:
And I have embarked a new-to-me project, beaded book thongs:
The book thongs are easy and quick to make, so they are a good balance to the large project of the stocking. Coloring with thread...and with beads.

Home For Christmas
I started working on this Mill Hill Button & Beads kit in April when I was in my hometown helping take care of my Mom. I had forgotten to take any of my projects with me, and I found this kit at my sister's. Over the course of a month, my Mom's health plummeted and she left this earth.
So, here's "Home For Christmas" made in the loving memory of my Mom for my sister:
