Merry Christmas!

This is a video of all the holiday decorations at the Butterfield casa this year...it's a little long, but worth it!

Believe

I have many mantras (you make your own happiness; find your bliss; did you dent the sidewalk?; it's a long way from your heart; think outside the damn box; it is what it is; you get what you give; karma's a bitch), but this time of year - the beginning of the holiday season - my main mantra is BELIEVE. I believe heart and soul in Santa Claus, and my holiday decor reflects that. When I found this Mill Hill Buttons & Beads Winter Series kit I just knew it was for me, and I will complete it before Christmas!

You must always BELIEVE!

The Next Project

I am now working on a smaller piece from a Dimensions kit called "Moonlit Cabin."

It's a pain to work on navy aida cloth with dark colors....

The Cathedral Group of the Tetons

It took me almost a year and a half to complete this piece and frame it, but it was sooo worth the work!

The Tetons is one of my favorite places on this earth to spend time...and looking at this takes me there. Preserve the places you love, any way you desire, little ones.

Wow...I Actually Finished It!

I've been working on this piece since September 29, 2011, and today I finished it!!! It is a National Parks kit of the Teton Cathedral Group (8 5/8" x 12"). I used all the included DMC colors, but I did all the wildflowers in beads. I will frame it as soon as I figure out mat colors, frame color/style, etc. I am soooooo glad to be done with this!
I think my next project might be something small...very, very small.

Wizardry

My DH and I decided we would not get gifts for one another for the holidays as we had remodeled the kitchen this summer and figured that would cover "gifts" for a good, long time. Well, I couldn't let Christmas pass without giving him something, so I made this for him:

I made it from a Mill Hill Buttons & Beads kit. He collects wizards and dragons, so I figured it would add to the collection nicely. :)

I am now back to working on finishing up my Tetons piece....I WILL get it done soon!!! :)
